Accessibility statement
Creative Center for Children is committed to making our website usable and welcoming for everyone.
Our commitment
We want every family — including people with disabilities — to be able to access information about our preschool with ease. We strive to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, the internationally recognized standard for digital accessibility, and to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California's Unruh Civil Rights Act.
The accessibility menu
Every page includes an accessibility menu — look for the round button in the bottom-left corner. It lets you instantly:
- Increase text size
- Switch to a high-contrast color scheme
- Highlight all links
- Use a more readable font
- Pause animations and motion
Your selections are saved on your device and applied across the site.
What we've built in
- Keyboard navigation throughout, with a visible focus indicator and a "skip to content" link
- Descriptive alternative text for images
- Semantic structure and ARIA labels for screen readers
- Color contrast that meets AA standards
- Respect for the "reduce motion" setting in your operating system
